Can you please e-mail me the correct words for Grandmother and mother in Urdu. I believe grandmother is Dadima and mother is ami g.
Please can you advise me on the correct spelling for both of these words?

grandmother ko nani.or could say nani mah

The spelling for the word, Mother and Grand Mother is correct and the meaning for mother is Ammi and grand mother is Dadi or Nani.

As they said,
Paternal grandmother: Dadi
Maternal grandmother: Nani

I would translate "Mom" as "Ammi", but "Mother" is more correctly "Waldah," (as "Father" is "Walid") I believe.

well friend grand mother actually creats a sense of big mother it is mot right thinking dat grnd mother means dadi maan . for dadi maan one word should be used wid grand mother and it is "faternal" and for nani maan one word should be used wid grand mother which is "maternal". when u call dadi maan u should "faternal grandmother" while when u call nani maan u should say "maternal grand mother"
